Hong Kong’s Young Teddy Bear Creator – Tori Chan

In 2022, at the age of only six, Tori Tori dreamed of becoming afashion designer,taking her first creative step by sewing dresses forLOL dolls. 

In 2024, at the age of nine.

Pearl is a 10.5-inch tall teddy bear, made offeltHandcrafted teddy bears featuring beaded eyes and limbs connected with button joints.Every detail of the body useBlanket stitch , from the shoes to the accessories. The entire look is themed in purple, and she is stuffed with polyester fiber, with the soles of her feet specifically firm and well-padded.

Pearl’s outfit is beautifully layered: a purple dress worn over a snug vest, with an outer layer featuringan outer layer featuring a heart-patterned mesh blouse.The base dress enhances the elegance and three-dimensionality of the mesh, giving the entire look a more sophisticated feel. In addition, I handcrafted the purple shoes, earrings, a matching handbag, and a pom-pom hat. The earrings, in particular, add a touch of sparkle to the design.

This piece was part of my classroom practice. With my teacher's assistance, we found the perfect fabric for the base dress. Its tone complements the mesh outer layer beautifully, making Pearl's overall look even more exquisite and complete.

Rose is a charming 10.5-inch long puppy, made offeltcarefully handcrafted. She features exquisiteexquisite beaded eyesa hand-stitched nose, and textured bean-bag filled limbs. The entire body features a charming pink hue, adorned with an exquisitebell collar..

In addition, she is wearing a form-fitting pinkvest, adding a touch of elegance to her overall look.

Rose shares a deep bond with her best friend Pearl; they are an inseparable and perfect pair.

Valentina is a one-of-a-kind, 10-inch tall limited edition handcrafted rabbit, made ofplushmaterials, featuring beaded eyes and button-jointed limbs, filled with soft polyester fiber. Her head and body are made ofCotter pin, connected with cardboard discs, adding a touch of artisanal charm to the handcrafted piece.

A mere 8 years old and full of imagination, Tori greatly admires fashion designers, Valentinoso she designed an elegant outfit for Valentina inspired by the classic style of Valentino, showcasing her passion for creative expression..

Most recently, Valentina had the honor of participating inGerman Teddy Exhibition.

Through my needle and thread, I transform simple fabrics into exquisite pieces of art. The process is both magical and full of joy. My hope is that when you see my creations, you can feel the happiness that sewing brings to me.

Chocolate is a truly unique creation, featuring an internal skeleton that allows her to strike various graceful and charming poses. This piece was meticulously crafted by 9-year-old Tori under the expert guidance of Ms. Gloria. Their creative journey began with a real toy bunny, which they transformed into paper patterns for the head, body, and limbs to cut the fabric pieces. Ms. Gloria further introduced the innovative concept of incorporating a skeleton, giving Chocolate a vibrant sense of life and flexibility.

Tori’s creativity did not stop there—she envisioned incorporating a music box inside Chocolate, granting her the delightful ability to sing and making her even more extraordinary.

Recently, Chocolate had the honor of participating in the German Teddy Exhibition held from April 26 to 27, 2025.German Teddy Exhibitionwhere she received widespread admiration and acclaim. This experience filled us with immense pride and sparked boundless inspiration. Encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive response, I am now considering starting my own business, all thanks to Chocolate’s undeniable charm and unique appeal.
