Angela Yip , Connie, Andersen and Hong Kong Younger Teddy Bear creator’s Tori excited to be at the event.

Teamwork makes the dream work! Connie, Angela, Andersen, Gigi and Tori worked together to assist in setting up the exhibition table, ensuring every creation was perfectly displayed for the event.

Promote the talent of our Young Hong Kong Teddy Bear Creators

Angela, a dedicated teacher from Hong Kong, has brought her own creations along with the works of Hong Kong’s Younger Teddy Bear Creators to Germany. The primary mission of this exhibition is to promote the talent of our young local creators and showcase Hong Kong’s unique teddy bear artistry to a global audience.

Our Younger Teddy Bear Creators are doing an amazing job in Germany! They are enthusiastically introducing their handmade works to every visitor and are so happy to share their sewing process and the stories behind their creations. It’s wonderful to see their confidence shine on this international stage.

The Young Hong Kong Teddy Bear Creator first sale

Exciting news! Our young creator, Gigi, has officially sold out her handmade bunnies! 🐰 One visitor was so captivated by Gigi’s craft that she kept coming back to ask about them, expressing how much she truly loved Gigi’s work. What an incredible boost of confidence for our young artist on her first international stage!

Artistic Exchange Communities

Angela had a wonderful meeting with Jianling Chen, a talented teddy bear artist from China who is also participating in this exhibition. It was a great opportunity for these two artists to share their passion and expertise on an international platform.

Angela also took the opportunity to meet with the Taiwan Teddy Bear Association during the event. This meeting fostered meaningful exchange between the Hong Kong and Taiwan artistic communities, further strengthening their shared commitment to promoting teddy bear culture globally.

Promote the “Magic Needle” to the World

We are proud to promote Gloria Chan’s book, “Magic Needle“, right here in Germany. This book is an amazing resource for children, guiding them through the art of sewing and helping them create their very first teddy bear. It is the foundation upon which our “Hong Kong Younger Teddy Bear Creators” are built.

Sebastian Marquardt TEDDY BÄR TOTAL event organizer, expresses his thoughts about the future of the teddy bear business.
“The pandemic and Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine changed a lot. During the two years of lock downs and restrictions, many artists retired from making teddy bears.

We lost Russian artists because of the war. Despite all these circumstances, this year’s TEDDYBÄR TOTAL was a step further in recovering.

With some 200 exhibitors from 20 countries, there was a marvelous variety of teddy bear styles united under one roof.

Visitors from all over the world enjoyed our event.

made good use of it.

As more European artists plan to retire in the next few years, it is good to see that there are some fresh young faces among the exhibitors. With our youngest exhibitor from Hong Kong being 11 years old, we are optimistic that teddy bears remain a fantastic hobby for many people; for bear makers as well as collectors.
